National Quality Standard

The National Quality Standard (NQS) is an important part of the National Quality Framework (NQF). It sets a high national standard for early childhood education and care services in Australia.

These standards contain seven Quality Areas that serve as benchmarks against which centres are assessed.

  • Educational program and practice
  • Children’s health and safety
  • Physical environment
  • Staffing arrangements
  • Relationships with children
  • Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
  • Leadership and service management

The Early Years Learning Framework is a document that describes the basic ideas, practises, and outcomes that are needed to support and improve the learning of young children from birth to age five and to make the transition of these children into primary school easier.

At Wattle Montessori we are very proud of how committed we are to adopting and following the National Quality Framework so that we can give our families and children high-quality care, education, opportunities, and experiences. This is something we really care about.

The National Quality Framework gives an overview of our regulatory requirements and covers all parts of the service, from educational programmes, staffing ratios, and staff qualification levels to health and hygiene requirements, documents, forms, and team-related information.

The educators on the Wattle Montessori team are highly qualified and dedicated to their jobs. As a team, they are responsible for making sure that all seven Quality Areas are met at all times.

Wattle Montessori is closed on all federal, state, and local holidays. If some of your regularly scheduled classes fall on a holiday, fees still apply. Typically, CCS will pay out for public holidays, but this might not be the case if you’ve already used your 42 days off.

Fees apply for sick days. The Child Care Subsidy (CSS) will pay for up to 42 absence days per year without any proof, and it will pay for as many sick days as you need if you can produce a medical certificate or similar.

Our amazing educators are ready and waiting to welcome your child! We encourage you to come and view our centre. Should you wish to proceed with the enrolment, please click the iEnrol button to begin the process.

Teachers at Wattle Montessori give each child experiences that are right for his or her interests and learning abilities and offer chances to keep learning. The kids get used to their new surroundings very quickly because our educators work with our families to make the transition as easy as possible.
